what to expect

I will spend a few minutes warming up to the kids and scoping out the site for the best lighting before we get started. The first part of the session I will lead- maybe asking you to do a particular activity, sit a certain way, play a few games, etc. The second part of the session will be me following your family through normal activities. Whether that’s playing baseball, reading stories, or doing whatever it is that your family enjoys, I will fade into the background. I am open to ideas, so please share with me. After all, no one knows your family better than you.

about the location Sessions can be done either at your home or the location of your choice. I do not have a studio, as my goal is to photograph using natural light in a location that is meaningful to you.

how long will it last While there is no set time schedule, you can expect your session to take anywhere from 1-3 hours.

what I ask of you Don’t worry if people aren’t smiling or looking at the camera. And please, don’t spend hours cleaning your home or manicuring the lawn. It’s most important to just be yourself and let your kids be themselves. Trust me and have fun!
